A few clear
ground rules.

Using VoiceMyFile to turn your reading into audio.

Updated 4 October 2026

Using the service

VoiceMyFile converts supported documents or pasted text into AI-narrated MP3 audio. You choose a voice, quality and speed, review a quote and follow the conversion progress. No subscription is required. Only use the service for lawful content you own or have permission to convert.

Do not upload content that infringes another person’s rights, exposes sensitive personal information without permission, or attempts to compromise the service. You remain responsible for the content you submit and for checking whether your intended use of the resulting audio is permitted.

File support and narration limits

Supported inputs are DOCX, TXT, Markdown, RTF, text-based PDF and DRM-free EPUB, up to 4 MB. Legacy DOC files, scanned PDFs, password-protected PDFs and DRM-protected books are not supported. Documents are subject to processing limits, including a maximum of one million extracted characters; PDF input is limited to 500 pages.

The text preview lets you inspect extraction before continuing. Layout, columns, tables, footnotes, pronunciation and narration may differ from the source. Output is AI-generated and may contain mistakes. The service produces one merged MP3; it does not provide human narration, music mastering, interactive chapter markers or a guarantee that an audiobook retailer will accept the file.

Quotes and starting a conversion

Standard quotes start at $4.99 and HD quotes at $9.99 in US dollars. Document length, selected voice service and settings determine the final quote shown for your conversion. The review screen explains the action required to begin and whether an online payment is collected. A quoted price or a manually approved conversion is not a receipt for a collected payment.

If a conversion fails or you have a billing question, contact us with the conversion ID. Do not include card details in feedback.

Your audio and download links

When conversion completes, you receive an email with a download link. Signed links expire after six days. Download and keep your MP3 if you want to listen after the link expires. Processing time depends on document length and the queue; an exact completion time is not guaranteed.

You retain your rights to the content you provide. Submitting a document allows us to process and store it to provide the conversion. VoiceMyFile does not grant rights to copyrighted books or a blanket commercial licence for every document or voice. Check the source content rights and the selected narration provider’s terms before commercial distribution.
