Upload Word (.docx), text-based PDF, DRM-free EPUB, plain text (.txt), Markdown (.md), or Rich Text (.rtf), up to 4 MB. You can also paste text directly. Review the extracted text before continuing. Your audio is delivered as an MP3.
Can I convert a PDF to audio?
Yes, upload a PDF with selectable text and review the extracted reading order. Scanned images and password-protected PDFs are not supported. Use OCR in a tool you trust first, then upload or paste the resulting text.
Do I need a subscription?
No monthly plan or unused credits. The starting prices are $4.99 for Standard and $9.99 for HD. Your quote depends on the document length and settings, and you can review it before starting.
What’s the difference between Standard and HD?
Standard offers clear narration for everyday listening. HD uses enhanced audio generation for more natural expression. Choose the quality and voice collection after uploading; your final quote reflects those settings and the document length.
How long does conversion take?
Processing time depends on the length of your document and the queue. Follow the progress on your conversion page, or leave it running and wait for the email when your audio is ready.
Can I listen to the voices first?
Yes. Play the voice samples on this page to compare narration styles. These are short samples, not a free conversion of your document. After uploading, you can also audition up to 150 characters of your own text with your chosen voice and recorded pace.
How do I get my MP3?
Upload your document, choose your voice, and confirm your conversion. When processing finishes, you receive an email with a download link. Signed download links expire after six days, so save the MP3 to keep listening.
Can I listen offline or change the reading speed?
Yes. Download your MP3 and listen in your usual audio app, even without an internet connection. Choose the recorded pace before converting; the available range depends on the voice collection. The website player also has playback-speed controls, skip buttons, a sleep timer and a saved position on this device.
